Hemis Fares at Kroger

First let me apologize for such a LONG break before posting anything again. 

Back in April thanks to BzzAgent I was able to participate in the Kroger Hemis Fares Campaign! 

As you can see it's a taste of Italy in your home! Who does not love Italian food?!? In my box I received coupons, a bag of pasta and some post cards with recipes on them. Along with a booklet with more information on Hemis Fares. Great tasting pasta, for a great price that can be found at your local Kroger! Now that's a bargain in my book hands down.

With the long spiral pasta I got I went ahead and made SPAGHETTI!!! Chipotle spaghetti is what I made to be exact. The noodles cooked beautifully, and they are hollow in the middle so sauce was able to get all over the pasta. 

Later in the month I went out and bought another bag of pasta, this time rigatoni pasta to use for my Spinach Chipotle pasta. Once again the pasta cooked beautifully full of flavor and looked beautiful! The rigatoni was a lot bigger than what I am used to using but it got the job done and everyone loved the dish. 

I was pretty happy with the Hemis Fares brand and with this campaign. Anything that involves food makes me happy.

Kroger Fuel Points "How Low Can You Go"

What's more fun than going grocery shopping? Getting fuel points is!!!! You can't complain about Kroger and their awesome fuel points program. Your points can add up for a month and you can save up to $1.00/gallon! Every 100 points saves you .10 cents at the pump. Even if you don't have enough points, as long as you have a Kroger Plus Card you save .03 cents at the pump. Kroger's even has specials sometimes and you can earn 4x the fuel points for example when you purchase gift cards. But thanks to BzzAgent I was able to participate in this campaign and I received 500 fuel points for FREE!!! How awesome is that, it was all part of the #FuelTheLove Kroger had going.

So thanks to #FuelTheLove I made sure to have my truck almost at empty to go in and fill up! With my FREE 500 fuel points and my regular shopping at Kroger I had 856 fuel points saved up. That saved me .80/gallon at the pump. Since I was saving so much I decided to fill Big Bertha (what I call my truck) with Premium Unleaded! Before my discount Premium was $2.29/gallon after my fuel points savings of .80/gallon it dropped to $1.49/gallon! I filled up Big Bertha for $33.52!!!! Coming from having to spend close to $100 to fill up my truck being able to fill her up for under $50 is AMAZING!!!!

Thanks to Kroger and their fuel points rewards program I purchased Premium gas cheaper that Regular gas was on that day. 

So if you already shop at Kroger make sure to have a Kroger Plus Card and start earning your fuel points! 

Kroger Simple Truth Organic Bzz Campaign

Well I know I have been quiet with BzzAgent since November, but I finally got a few campaign going and I have been busy trying out the Kroger Simple Truth Organic line!

I was super excited to be part of this campaign because I had a blast being part of the last Simple Truth campaign that I took part in before I started blogging. I already knew of the brand because it's always part of our grocery list. This is what the Bzzkit contained this comes from the BzzAgent website.

So my BzzKit came in the mail and you can see I received a bottle of Lemon with Lemongrass Tea, a bar of Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt, a coupon for a free Ready to Bake bread and a coupon for free Greek Yogurt cup. And a bunch of coupons to pass on the savings to my family and friends. 

As a chocolate lover you know I had to try the dark chocolate right away! Silly me did not even take a picture of it so I'm using the one provided by BzzAgent. I LOVED this chocolate, dark chocolate is not super sweet and it's kind of bitter. But the added sea salt helps it so much, something about salt and chocolate that works well with each other. I snacked on this when ever I needed a sweet break, needless to say it did not last long at all. Next on my list is to try the one with coconut! 

The following day I gave the tea a try, I actually took this with me to my aunts house on New Year's Eve. Boy was I in for a shock! The Lemon Lemongrass is what I got and it's gross!!! I was so disappointed by this tea that I have not even given any other flavors a try. It was so bitter and it left a bad taste in your mouth. Even though it said the tea was sweetened it had no sweet taste at all! I even added sugar to it and it still was bad. I don't recommend this flavor to anyone! I can't speak for the other flavors provided since I did not even give them a try.

A few weeks after that I made this yummy Cilantro Lime Chicken and made the choice to finally use my coupon for the Ready to Bake Bread. At my local Kroger I did not have much to choose from because this looks to be a popular item. So I went home with the Roasted Garlic flavor and it's so good!!! So simple to just pop this bad boy in the oven and have great tasting fresh bread on the table. My family is the type that always has to have bread with dinner so crescent rolls are always on the table. Now this bread will be part of our dinners especially on pasta nights because what's better that garlic bread covered in butter? Well this lovely organic bread hits the spot just right. You can buy a few loaves and keep them in your freezer and have them ready to go when you need them. 

Today I gave the Greek Nonfat Yogurt a try....anyone who knows me knows I can't stand Greek yogurt. I gave it a try, I had to give an honest review and I actually ate Greek yogurt today.

It had strawberries at the bottom so I mixed my yogurt up. I don't know if that's what you do but hey I needed the full effect. I gave it a try, put the spoon in my mouth and then regretted it LOL It was sour and I was not happy. The strawberry part taste great! I did make sure that on my next spoonful that I had way more strawberries than yogurt. I gave the rest to my SO who was happy to eat it, he said it was great tasting and he really liked it. In the end it just depends on if you like Greek yogurt or not. A friend of mine told me to add some sugar to it so I might give another flavor a try and add sugar this time. 

In the end I am very happy with Kroger and their Simple Truth Organic line. One of the products that we always buy is the Simple Truth Organic marinara sauce! Last night we made pizza pockets using the marinara sauce and man they turned out so yummy. I know marinara sauce was not part of the BzzKit but the Simple Truth line has so many products to try that you can't just base it on the ones that came in the BzzKit. So I will leave you with my dinner last night. Yummy pizza pockets so simple to make and so tasty!!!

Reese's Spread Vox Box

Can we say YUMMO!!!! Again thanks to Influesnter I received a jar of Reese's Spread for free to test out. I was excited to get the news that I got this Vox Box since it had been a few months since my last one.

My daughter sure was happy to be able to try this out with me as you can tell!

We first gave it a try with apples and bananas, it's AMAZING! It's not a creamy spread at all, it has the consistency of the peanut butter used in the candy. So it has a little crunch to it, because of this it's not really easy to spread on the fruit but hey a little mess never hurt anyone LOL

After we used it for snack purposes I finally made the choice to use it in muffins after visiting their site for ideas.

Chocolate Banana Muffins  is what I made and they are yummy! The only thing I would change is for the topping I would use brown sugar instead of regular sugar. As you can see in the picture my streusel never browned, it still tasted good but it did not brown at all. I also like more of a banana flavor to my muffins so if you are like me I suggest adding more banana.

In the end my family was very happy with this jar of Reese's Spread. I will leave you guys with a picture of my daughter enjoying her muffin this morning. 

Aussie Vox Box

I have been slacking big time! Finally the Holiday's are over and with the new year I can get back to blogging again!

A few months back I received from Influenster the Aussie Vox Box. I was excited to get this because I LOVE Aussie products. In the box as you can see I received 2 full size hair sprays to try for free. I got the Freeze hair spray and the Sprunch hair spray. 

The Freeze one I do not use daily, it's a really strong hold that I love to use when I have my hair pulled back or in a bun. It sure controls any loose hairs and makes for a smooth look.

The Sprunch hair spray smells great and it has a strong hold to it. It's more than what I like using since I normally use flexible hold when it comes to my curls. In the picture below you can tell how strong of a hold the hair spray has. I style my hair with flexible hold mouse and then sprayed the Sprunch hair spray over the curls. I used my hands to give it a tousled look and that's it. Once my hair dried this was the finished result. I'm not a fan of the feel of it. Like I stated above I like flexible holds since I can run my fingers through my curls. 

I kept using the Sprunch hair spray until I was done with it. I did not buy it, but I do buy the Aussie flexible hold hair spray and I still use the Freeze hair spray when my hair is pulled back.

Once again I was very happy with this Vox Box and with my Aussie products.

Kettle Brand

Today is all about the KETTLE BRAND! Look at this yummy goodness I was able to try thanks to BzzAgent! What's better than a snack made with non-GMO and preservative-free ingredients. No MSG, gluten and trans fat free!!! All that makes a pretty damn tasty snack. And if you are environmentally friendly  the Kettle Brand uses biodiesel, reclaimed water, solar and wind power to reduce waste and CO2 emissions. I had no idea but thanks to BzzAgent I found all this out!

Then look at all the awesome flavors they have!!! Siriracha popcorn heck yeah sign me up!

I was super excited when my free coupons came in the mail! I could not wait to visit my local Kroger and see what flavors I could find. Sadly when I went to Kroger they did not have many flavors. They keep these guys in the "health food" section and not a lot of display area for them. The popcorn was only available in White Cheddar. When I really wanted Siriracha flavor ones. And the Real Sliced Potatoes came in BBQ only. 

I picked up my two bags of goodies and took them home. My only complaint was that the bag of chips is so much smaller than the regular bag of Kettle chips. The chips were opened up the following day and inhaled by my daughter and her daddy. In one sitting they ate the entire bag of chips LOL I had a few chips and they are good, they did not leave a greasy feeling on my hands at all. Very crispy with a nice thick cut and full of flavor. The popcorn was opened up the next day by me, I'm the only popcorn eater in my house. It has a nice flavor to it that is not over powering at all...I'm still on the hunt for siriracha flavor popcorn so I hope my local Kroger will carry that flavor soon.

I'm starting this off with a beautiful picture of my Alaskan Malamute Kenobi RIP He was an amazing dog and together we did so many things for Texas Alaskan Malamute Rescue. And even now after his passing we still can help little by little. Thanks to Kroger Community Rewards Program it's even easier! We can help them out just by doing our normal grocery shopping. #GotADiscount

You can see in this picture that the last quarter Kroger donated $11.42 from my shopping trips with them. I started late the last quarter since I had no idea TAMR was part of this. Once I heard I signed up right away and have been doing my part little by little. Thanks to BzzAgent and Kroger they are doing a big push to tell more people about the Community Rewards Program. I hope more people take a look and add a charity of their choice to their Kroger card. If you are looking or wanting to know more about TAMR please check them out!
